Latest Fishing Report
Full report →June 7 check: Utah Lake is in early-summer mode, but the official Utah Lake State Park conditions page still shows its latest posted lake data from May 22: 62°F water, 78.59% full, and clear algae status. Treat upper-60s surface temperatures in protected shallows as an estimate, not a fresh official reading. The best bite to target now is evening/night channel catfish, active carp on shallow flats, and post-spawn bass around vegetation. White bass are mostly post-spawn and scattered.
This is the best near-term SEO and fishing opportunity. Summer catfish searches are starting now, and the bite improves as shallow water pushes toward 70°F. Focus on low light and wind-blown shorelines where food collects.
Carp are one of the most reliable current bites. Warm shallow water and clear visibility make them easy to locate. This also supports cross-linking to carp gear and bowfishing content.
Bass are in a post-spawn feeding pattern. Early topwater and mid-morning vegetation edges are the practical plan. Wind can help by pushing bait onto banks, but it also limits small-boat safety.
